Notice of Application

The Department announces receipt of an application for permit from ACMS, Inc. to substantially modify the solid waste construction permit for the ACMS Class I Landfill. The application includes the lateral expansion of the existing Class I landfill. The lateral expansion would add approximately 60 acres of disposal area adjacent to the west side of the existing landfill. This proposed project will be located at 1032 County Road 529A in Sumterville, Florida.

This application is being processed and is available for public inspection during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays, at the Department of Environmental Protection, 2600 Blair Stone Road, Mail Station 4565, Tallahassee, Florida 32399, phone 850-245-8707.
